Penguin Custom Bodyshells

A little more about me and Penguin Custom Bodyshells.

My first car like most people was a Tamiya. Namely a Tamiya Lancia Rally with a 6V Battery, I Used this everyday in the garden for 6 months Patiently waiting for the Battery to charge with the trickle Charger. My first Race car was also a Tamiya, Namely a Supershot. I’ve been racing since 1986, after this I ran with a SWB Schumacher cat which I had for Christmas. Ran it with a Demon Pro King and the following year I had a PB Maxima. Which to this day was my favourite car. and I still own it to this day. A PB ACE followed along with a Kyosho Lazer and in the later 80s I was fortunate enough to drive for Schumacher, running procat in Modified class and cougar in standard class.

I won the RRC standard championship 2 years running in 1990 and 1991, and raced primarily in the Midlands and had a few really decent results, after a break in 1994 I got the bug to come back racing in 2009, my first car back was a Durango DEX410 and had to learn about new Lipo Batteries, and haven’t stopped since , I’m an enthusiast first and always will be , I have a large collection of modern and vintage cars, some of which are my originals which is why I started making bodyshells.
